ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU
Our TAS turbid water extraction system for systems in hazardous areas is certified according to ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU. Compliance with the directive provides the operator of the wastewater treatment plant with operational and legal security, as it complies with the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV) and fulfils his employer's duty of care.
With the ATEX certification issued by the German TÜV Nord, the operator can fully document the necessary requirements for his explosion-protected plant subject to inspection and thus prevent any possible shutdown or criminal consequences.
Sludge water detection
Based on an innovative digital measurement of sludge thickness, the new generation of TAS facilitates a significantly higher removal of sludge water. It allows you to determine the density at which the withdrawal of the sludge water from the thickener tank should take place, by means of a freely adjustable sludge water density threshold (0-100%). Furthermore, it allows the operator to set a threshold that varies throughout the day.
Depending on the load and the time of day, the operator can specify the type of contaminated sludge water that is to be drawn off, thus reducing workload at the biological stage and increasing the capacity of your sludge tank.
The TAS generation 4 touchscreen control panel provides detailed information about the program sequence, the set-up of plant parameters, maintenance notifications and a virtual view into the thickener tank. With the help of profile analysis, the sludge water density distribution in the tank can be graphically viewed.
You can benefit from this profile analysis data to further optimise the amount of sludge water you want to detract.
The core element of the TAS is a Siemens SIMATIC S7-1200 control system. It provides the foundation of the new analysis and control software of the TAS generation 4 and helps to optimise the sludge water detection. Its modular set-up, compact construction and multi-purpose functionality offers the ideal solution for the technical control tasks of the TAS.
The system also benefits from Siemens' new PLC generation technology which guarantees a safe long-term investment.
